I’m Caitlyn Lamper, founder of Lampora Design.
Book design isn’t just my career, it’s my passion. The thrill of seeing typed pages come to life in paper and ink is something I think everyone should experience at least once in their life.
I give each project a customized approach, prioritizing your goals and needs. Aesthetics and functionality collaborate to give you a design that not only looks great, but also works for you and your target reader.

First Chapters
When I designed my first book in college, I expected to hate it. The idea of creating a multi-page design with a consistent layout and carefully chosen typography was overwhelming. But when I held the printed copy in my hands, I realized something. Book design isn’t just graphic design with more pages.
It requires a deep understanding of how readers move through content, how type behaves across hundreds of pages, how a cover communicates genre and quality in a single glance, and how every technical decision either serves the reader or quietly undermines them. Most people never notice when a book is designed well. They just feel it.
That's the goal.
Climax
A book is not just a product. It's a representation of you and your message. It shows your credibility. Your personality. Your experience. Your values. The design will either support and honor your work or it won’t.
Many self-published books fail before the first page is read. Not because the writing isn't good, but because the design signals that it was rushed, templated, or treated as an afterthought. This visual shortcoming reflects a lack of care, reflecting badly on the author. A reader, an event organizer, a journalist, or a colleague picks up your book and makes a decision in seconds. I make sure that decision goes the right way.
Good book design is invisible when it's working. A reader is more likely to trust a well-designed book. That trust is what I'm building every time I work on your project.
Resolution
I started Lampora Design because I saw a gap that needed to be filled. I wanted to serve authors who have meaningful things to say and deserve better than templates and generic covers. Authors who need a designer that understood the full picture of what makes a book work technically, aesthetically, and strategically.
I've built this studio around one conviction: your book should look as good as it reads.
I take on a limited number of projects at a time so I can give each one the attention it deserves. If you're working on something meaningful and you want it done right, I'd love to hear about it.
My Process
While each project is unique and receives a customized approach, the foundational process is the same. Regardless of the scope, goals, and purpose, your book will be handled with quality expertise and care.
Background
If we’re a good fit, we will schedule a discovery call to discuss the scope and goals of your book. This stage is crucial to keeping the project focused and intentional.
Research
I spend time getting familiar with your style, past work, and audience. The more I know about these things, the better the design will work in the end.
Strategy
Throughout the process I will be sending you updates and checkpoints to review. This keeps us on the same page and allows you to collaborate and invest in the design direction of your book.
Results
The preceding stages help create the best design for your content. Each decision is made with intention and purpose to give you a beautiful, timeless, and practical book that you can be proud of.

"Caitlyn was a delight to work with. Her expertise, positive spirit, and work ethic delivered in every way. Not only did she quickly lean into the heartbeat and focus of my project, but she knew how to convey them with insightful, quality visuals. If you are looking for someone to catch your vision and work enthusiastically with you until you reach your goals, look no further, Caitlyn Lamper is the graphic designer you want."
Nadia Geagea Pupa
CEO & Co-Founder of Píque Publishing
"Caitlyn contributed significantly to our social media and marketing efforts at Pique Publishing. I was consistently impressed by the quality of her designs. She listened attentively to my ideas and would deliver great quality design samples. Caitlyn is also committed to following through with all of the projects she was assigned. She works well independently, on her own, without needing to be handheld. I am thoroughly impressed with her work and tried to convince her to stay after her internship ended! I hope she comes back to Pique Publishing after she graduates from school because her enthusiasm and motivation to do a great job is not something easily found in a design intern."
Francie Taylor
Co-Founder of Keep the Heart
"I've known Caitlyn since her senior year at Pensacola Christian College, where she studied and excelled in graphic design. Caitlyn was in my Senior Bible class on Sunday mornings, and I learned of her background in graphic design before class one morning. After seeing samples of her work, I knew she was the one to run the next book design project for Keep the Heart LLC.
Caitlyn hears words and sees the design. She took a simple, one- word book title, "Apply," and turned it into our best-selling book of 2024. It continues to be our best-performing book, and we are convinced that this is due in part to Caitlyn's inspiring design.
An author who saw our book inquired about the designer, and is now one of Caitlyn's clients.
Caitlyn is a visionary designer, and we look forward to working with her on future projects. I highly recommend Caitlyn for your design projects as well."
Jennifer Arrington

"I’ve had the pleasure of working with Caitlyn Lamper on two book cover projects, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Caitlyn has an incredible talent for transforming my ideas into polished, professional designs that I’m proud to showcase. She’s well-versed in platform requirements, expertly adjusting sizing and file types as needed. If a submission gets rejected, Caitlyn quickly translates technical jargon into actionable solutions, ensuring everything is resolved efficiently. Beyond her artistic skill, Caitlyn’s patience and positive attitude make her an absolute joy to work with. I highly recommend her to any author seeking a skilled and reliable cover designer."
